Advantage Aging Solution is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and energetic new team member to serve as Program Specialist. This full time position is responsible for partnership development and program management/oversight for special initiatives (i.e. caregiver support, health and wellness, Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly), and provision of training/technical assistance to partner agencies.
The successful candidate possesses the following skills and attributes: proficiency in reading and following guidelines for state and federal contracts; proficiency in verbal and written communications; comfortable and articulate in public speaking; innovative and critical thinking; efficient and effective time management; self-motivation and initiative; professional accountability for goal achievement; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity and empathy; ability to maintain client confidentiality; and knowledge and experience with data bases and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education/Experience requirement: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in health & human services, social work, sociology, psychology, gerontology or other related field. At least one-year related work experience (including internships) is preferred.
